What wouldn't we do for a seaside vacation? Sunbathing on the towel then splashing in the sea to cool off ... it's SO good! There is only one little thing that could ruin the vacation, the theft of our valuables on the beach. Here are ten super smart ways to outsmart beach thieves, pack away your suitcase, or take EVERYTHING you want on vacation; we show you:

1) Hide valuables

  • At the beach, the question is always the same: where to put the keys, the money, etc. The following three tips will help you keep your valuables safe. In some brushes, for example, by carefully removing the part with the pins from the plastic handle and hiding the keys and your money in it.
  • You can also use an old tube of sunscreen and poke a hole in the cover with a cutter so you can easily insert valuables. Then put the lid back on the tube - and everyone will believe that there is nothing but the cream inside.
  • This trick is super well thought out: Take an unused diaper with you to the beach, put your keys, money, and cell phone inside, and fold it up. If you put a piece of chocolate in the crease from the outside, the layer will look very dirty after the chocolate is melted. Nobody will dare to touch it anymore, let alone approach your valuables.

2) prevent bottles from leaking

Protect your bag from leaking liquids. Remove the cap from the bottle (s), place a cling film on the neck, and close with the cap. Nothing more can happen.

3) put away your makeup

In most cases, it's complete chaos in the makeup bag. Brushes, pencils, and mascara blend, and you take endless time to find what you're looking for. Think about the sushi mat, to avoid that!

In the workshop :

  • Sushi mat
  • Elastic tape
  • Any ribbon
  • Hot glue
  • Scratch / Velcro tape

At work! Thread the elastic ribbon through a sushi mat. Stick the duct tape to the sushi mat on both sides. Now hang a piece of tape on one side of the mat and glue a Velcro tape piece to each end. Now you can put your makeup utensils in the loops of the elastic, roll up the mat and close it with Velcro.

4) Rolled up clothes

This method is simple and incredibly effective. Pack all of your clothes into a suitcase and roll them up. This way, you can store a lot more clothes than if you store them the traditional way.

5) Shower gel, body lotion, shampoo, etc. in travel size

In the workshop :

  • Straws
  • Hair clip
  • Lighter
  • Marker pen

At work! To prevent your toiletry bag from overflowing with your hygiene products, you should use the following trick. Cut a straw in the middle and tighten an invisible barrette at one end. Heat the end in question with a lighter to seal everything. Fill the straw with soap or shampoo and seal the other end with the lighter. Mark the straws with the marker, and you are good to go!

6) Store clothes in the backpack optimally

Many people prefer to travel with a backpack rather than suitcases. To avoid spending hours looking for the right item of clothing in your bag, put clothes of the same category in freezer bags, i.e., socks with socks, underwear with underwear, and the T-shirts with the T-shirts. Before closing the bags, squeeze out the air to reduce the volume. With this trick, you can quickly find the garment you need.

7) Protect your smartphone from sand and dirt

To protect your smartphone from sand and dirt on the beach, just put it in a freezer bag; the touchscreen normally works through the bag.

8) stuff for a night away

Put your underwear on a T-shirt and fold the sleeves left and right. Then put two socks on the side and start rolling the T-shirt up and down so that the socks protrude to the left and right. In the middle, put a toothbrush, hairbrush, or whatever else you need to spend the night outside and roll it up. In the end, you put both socks around the roll - and you've got a small, compact travel package for an overnight stay.

9) Store the cables in the bag

In the workshop :

  • Multipurpose pliers
  • Glasses case

At work! Wind the cables and hold them together using a multipurpose clamp. The cables are easy to store in a glasses case. Add power, and you have all the equipment ready when you need it.

10) Plant sprinkler during the holidays

In the workshop :

  • Plastic bottle
  • Cutter
  • Screwdriver

At work! Take a cut of the bottom of a plastic bottle. Drill a few holes in the lid with a screwdriver and put the bottle upside down in the flowerpot. Fill the bottle with water. Thanks to the holes in the stopper, the planet draws as much water as it needs, and you won't be surprised when you come home from your vacation.
